Matt Davis is a versatile musician, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from St. Louis, Missouri.  He holds a Bachelor of Music Performance degree and is a board certified Music Therapist.  With over 30 years of experience in a wide variety of musical styles, a common thread has always been his love of American roots music.

One of his pet projects is The Lucky Old Sons, a band that combines his offbeat songwriting with his favorite music from the 50s and 60s.  For the last ten years Matt has also performed solo in senior homes, where his type of music is a natural fit.

It was only after he started performing for seniors specifically that he became aware of the potential of music therapy to enhance the lives of older adults. This, combined with a desire to communicate with his father when he was in the later stages of dementia, inspired him to pursue a degree in Music Therapy.
