The Lucky Old Sons is a project Matt started in 2010 which combines his off-beat songwriting with his favorite music of the 50s and 60s. The band has recorded two CDs of original material and play regularly in and around the St. Louis area at restaurants, theaters, and outdoor events.
With many of the same band members as The Lucky Old Sons, All Roostered Up is a party/jam band that grew from guitarist Steve Bauer's solo gig at The Broadway Oyster Bar. The band can be found there every Saturday from noon to 3pm and at other select venues and private events in the St. Louis area.
Open Mic/Jam Session at Highway 61 Roadhouse
Matt has been co-hosting this jam session since 2006, originally with blues legend, Alvin Jett, and starting in 2010, with guitarist, Darrow Washington. The jam is open to musicians young and old, and over the years has created a family-like atmosphere. It is held on Wednesday nights, from 6:30-10pm at Highway 61 Roadhouse in Webster Groves, MO.
